Tips for design testing of responsive websites

With these responsive design tools in our arsenal, we are prepared to create flexible designs ready for any device.

But when we are testing, it is important to pay attention to these following tips:

  • Do not finish the entire website without tests. The best way is testing every feature as soon as it is implemented, making it easy to find where the problem is.

  • Regression testing is very important to prevent cascading errors. After testing the implemented feature, check if what you did before does not introduce new issues on other parts of the website.

    Note

Regression testing seeks software bugs in existent areas of website after enhancements have been made to them.

  • Check the image and icon quality and the fluidity of the website contents over the structure.

  • Do performance analysis on responsive websites, especially when they are viewed on mobile devices (we will specifically see this in the next chapter).
