Adding audio to slides is by far the most interesting way to use audio in Captivate. Typically, slide-level audio is where you will add voice-over narration to the project.
Narration can be added directly during the filming; however, most of the time, it is recorded later in the process, imported into Captivate, and carefully synchronized with the rest of the slides' content. To get professional-sounding narration, it is best to use an external audio application; however, Captivate provides basic audio recording and editing tools.
Tip
Adobe Audition
Adobe Audition is an audio application from Adobe. Audition CC is available as part of a Creative Cloud subscription. Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit) is an awesome yet easy-to-use audio application. If Adobe Audition is available on your computer, use it to record and edit your audio clips instead of using Captivate.
