CSS3 provides new, simplified methods to create stunning galleries without the use of JavaScript. Understandably, these techniques do not work with older non-CSS3-compliant browsers but we can detect these browsers and create fallback solutions.
In this chapter, we saw how we can create cool interaction mechanisms using only CSS3. Additionally, we discovered a nice way to generate CSS statically starting from a more flexible language.
Last but not least, we tried three cool animation effects. These can be easily mixed or new ones can be created by, for example, changing rotateX
with rotateY
, or left
with top
. In the next chapter, we'll explore how to obtain interesting parallax effects.
