Summary


We started the chapter by learning about the importance of the Workflow process, as a part of budgeting of a firm. We defined the Planning Unit hierarchy and understood and elaborated on Primary and Secondary dimensions. We also introduced three Process Management Templates.

We assumed requirement of the firm 'Sargod Consulting Ltd'. Based on this firms Workflow requirement, we have started setting up Workflow process and had successfully created Planning Unit Hierarchy—East. Later, we assigned the Planning Unit Hierarchy to Scenario and Version dimension members as well.

Finally, after realizing that there is a smarter way of creating Workflow rather than heavy duty clicking business, we have explored an alternate approach of 'File based Import/Export' and we have created another Planning Unit Hierarchy 'Test' at the end.

The game is still on, we need to accept the fact that we have just started understanding things and in next chapter, we'll advance into process management. In this...
