In Microsoft Dynamics CRM, an entity represents an object that your organization needs to manage as part of its business processes. For example, if your organization provides insurance, it will need to manage customers, brokers, quotes, policies, and claims (these are examples of entities in an insurance business) as part of its business processes.
Some entities may represent tangible objects such as an insured vehicle, others may represent intangible objects such as a contact's interests.
