Field security profiles and field-level security are described in Chapter 4, Entity and Attribute Customization. Custom fields on system and custom entities can be configured with the read, create, and update privileges restricted to users or teams who have been assigned a specific field security profile.
Role-based forms are described in Chapter 6, User Interface Customization Using Forms, Views, and Charts. Entity forms can be configured and made available only to users with specific security roles. For example, users with a Customer Service Representative security role might see a different version of the account form compared to users with a Sales Representative security role.
