Here's a quick summary of what we've learned in this chapter.
There are two types of supported entity relationships—1:N (which is the same as N:1) and N:N. The polymorphic and 1:1 entity relationships exist in CRM 2011, but we can't use these relationship types in our customization.
When we create a 1:N custom relationship, the primary field of the related entity is displayed in the lookup field on the primary entity. For example, the Owner field on the Lead form displays the full name of the owing user because Full Name is the primary field of the User entity.
We can specify relationship behaviors for our custom 1:N relationships. Behavior types determine what happens to related records when parent records are assigned, shared/unshared, reparented, deleted, or merge. The available behavior types are as follows:
Parental
Referential
Referential, Restrict Delete
