Xcode and other tools can be used to view logs on iOS devices. Another tool that is used to debug devices is called libimobiledevice

I usually install libimobiledevice
using Homebrew, as there are a few dependencies that can be a little annoying to install otherwise.
To install Homebrew if you haven't already done so, perform the following steps:
Elevate your privileges by running
sudo
and invoking a bash shell:sudo bash
Run the following command:
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
Once the command is executed, follow the prompts to complete the installation. Once Homebrew is installed, run the following brew command to download the required components...
