Creating an acceleration program – Build for Earth

The Build for Earth program was created out of the need to support the winning solutions of Hack for Earth hackathons in taking the next step in realizing their solutions after the competition was over and winners had been declared. Out of this need, and the vision of the Hack for Earth Foundation’s founder, Ann Molin, the Build for Earth acceleration program was created by Dr. Kristofer Vernmark and first delivered to the winners of the Hack for Earth hackathon at Expo 2020 in Dubai in the spring of 2022. The aim of the acceleration program was to, in a short period of time (six months), create autonomous teams with value-driven team members that would continue to grow and realize their ideas into tangible tools on the market.

The content and structure of the program was created by using four main sources of input:
