Plus starts you off with Circles for Friends, Acquaintances, and Family—those being pretty obvious and easy to fill assuming you can get your Uncle Ferd and Aunt Rose to join Plus.

Of course, it does not all have to be done at once. Add them as they decide to join you on Plus, but it's a great way to keep in touch will your friends, relatives, and acquaintances. All of these groups in separate Circles allow interaction to be appropriate to each.
