Preparing videos for Plus


Google Plus loves video. Hangouts are a good example—one of the best video conferencing systems around is built right in.

Integration with YouTube is quick and easy to use too.

Additionally, so is uploading your own videos directly into Plus but ... it ... is ... slow. Not through any fault of Plus, but simply because video files are large. Upload times, even for short videos, can be many minutes. Once the video is on Plus, it takes more minutes to encode so it can be shared.

A few things you'll need to know in making sure your video will upload and look its best on Plus. Basically, these are the same limitations as making a video for YouTube, and no wonder, Google owns YouTube and probably uses the same software and hardware to encode video clips.
