System requirements


Before we can plan for or install any new application, we need to know what the requirements for the said application are. App Controller doesn't need much, but there are some things that administrators need to be aware of prior to installation.

One thing that isn't readily apparent before the installation is that App Controller is really an addition to a pre-existing System Center Virtual Machine Manager instance; thus, if you don't have this present inside your environment and you're looking for this functionality, go get your house in order first. App Controller doesn't have to be installed on the same server as VMM, but the VMM server must be specified during the installation process and thus be reachable by the machine that will be running App Controller.

In addition, for App Controller to be leveraged properly, all of your various fabric resources inside of VMM need to be configured, and at least one Cloud has to be defined inside of VMM. Again, your house needs to...
