Summary


It does not matter how you are managing your Office 365 identities, if you are Federating or not. FIM is a key component in all scenarios, as identity information's data quality is essential in all these scenarios.

In this chapter, we have seen how FIM is used to make sure that Office 365 users are managed correctly. We have seen how DirSync and Federation benefit from the increased identity information's data quality, which we can get from using FIM.

So, FIM increases our data quality. But how do I check the status of the data historically?

In the next chapter, we will look at FIM Reporting and see how we can track changes and create reports to, for example, show how a user has changed his role within the company over time.
