Application Insights in Power Apps

Once you have created an Application Insights resource and got the Instrumentation Key value, you need to assign it to your Power Apps app. This will be done by selecting the app level in the Properties panel, as shown in Figure 12.8:

As soon as you publish the app and use it, all telemetry will go to the Application Insights service.

Important note

When you import or export a solution or Power Apps application file, review the Instrumentation key property. You could start sending telemetry information to other tenants or unexpected places. Verify which instrumentation key is being used, and if the process is in place in your application lifecycle management (ALM) strategy, consider this to be changed through the different environments.
