Additional configuration for science projects in PyCharm

PyCharm’s out-of-the-box configuration is normally very complete. For scientific projects, though, there are some plugins you might want to add. We have a whole chapter on some amazing plugins later in the book, but you need them right now, so let’s take a look.

Plugins are installed using the PyCharm Marketplace. You can get to the Marketplace using the gear icon you normally use to get to settings. You’ll recognize it in Figure 12.5:

Open the Plugins window. You can see mine in Figure 12.6:
