Creating a custom rule and condition for personalization


Sitecore provides a couple of out-of-the-box conditions and relevant actions based on elements, for example, conditional renderings, date, context, GeoIP, visitor, and others so that most of the requirements for personalization rules can get fulfilled.

Here, to create a custom condition, let's consider an example. A marketing team wants to show a promotional offer on the continue to payment page to customers who have added any of the featured products to the cart. So, in this recipe, you will learn creating a custom condition to check whether the selected featured products exist in the cart or not.

Getting ready
