Time for action - setting up a page


Clicking the Page Setup... selection on the File menu brings up the Page Setup dialog box which, in turn, has two tabs: Format & Options and Margins & Header/Footer. The following screenshot shows the first tab, Format & Options, which controls how the page looks when it prints locally:

Printing locally means, in this case, using the Print selection on the File menu (or the Ctrl+P shortcut) and printing to a printer that is either attached to our computer or is on a local network. This is meant only for internal use, such as proofing or passing around to others working on the project with you.

Printing globally (creating a final PDF script for distribution to the world) is a completely different process, even if you still plan to print it on a local printer and bind it. We briefly saw this in Chapter 1 (using the TypeSet/PDF tab instead of the Print selection). So this section, again, is for printing and proofing use while a project is in progress...
