In this chapter we talked about ways to make money from your site.

We learned about advertising, including a look at some of the most important terminology (such as CPC, CPA, and CPM) and how to manage multiple advertising campaigns on your web site. We also covered revenue sharing and how it can encourage your users to be more active on the web site. We talked about the problems that revenue sharing can cause and how to combat them.

We learned how to offer paid subscriptions with different privileges for different user levels, and we also talked about other ways to make money from your site with affiliate programs, merchandise, and donations.

We also talked about things that you should remember when trying to make money from a web community so that your money-making attempts do not frustrate or drive away your visitors.
