Knowledge and Skill Domain

Objects within the Troux meta-model covering Knowledge and Skills of IT resources. The Knowledge and Skills Domain contains the following objects:

  • Knowledge Element

    A logical knowledge element, which can be decomposed into other knowledge elements. A knowledge element can be of a certain knowledge category defined in a categorization structure using the Category object type.

  • Knowledge Source

    Used to identify and map different knowledge sources of one or more knowledge elements. Objects can be documents, persons, IT systems, and other sources of information about IT at the company or agency.

  • Skill

    A particular ability possessed by a person. Skills can be categorized.

  • Formal Skill

    The state of being legally competent or qualified. A school examination certificate is an example of a formal skill artifact.
