What is Power Automate, and why should I use another tool for my processes?

Power Automate is the Power Platform component that’s used to automate business processes, in a low-code manner – in the cloud or in a PC. It is extremely useful when it comes to taking over tasks that are time-consuming or repetitive.

Logic Apps’ smaller brother

If you’ve worked with Azure integration services, you might already know about Logic Apps. We could say that Power Automate is its “little brother.” Logic Apps is targeted toward IT professionals and Power Automate to end users, but in the end, both products do more or less the same. In this chapter, we will be focusing on cloud flows. However, it’s also possible to run Power Automate flows on your PC with Desktop flows, add robotic process automation (RPA) to your desktop computer, and automate repetitive processes that will later run unattended.

If you think of automated and unattended processes...
