About the author

Phara Estime McLachlan is a serial entrepreneur, founder, and CEO of Nahteava, a leading management consulting firm specializing in IT and Software Asset Management, advisory services, and innovation. Phara has over 20 years of strategy and operations, innovation and marketing, and technology and consulting experience in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. With two decades of ITSAM experience, Phara works with Fortune 100, mid- to large-size company CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, VPs, asset managers, universities, and public sector agencies (government, city, state agencies) to create holistic IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management programs that close risk gaps, increase productivity, result in cost efficiency, and strengthen cybersecurity.   

Prior to founding Nahteava, Phara was the founder and CEO of Animus Solutions, and headed Animus's ITSAM practices, and shaped its strategy and business services. Prior to Animus, Phara consulted independently for some of the Big 4 consulting firms.

For more than a dozen years, Phara has also actively mentored and coached young and experienced IT and software asset managers. Phara is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on industry and technology issues and innovation. She's written numerous articles that have appeared in magazines such as Architecture and Governance, Enterprise Apps Today, ITAM Review, CIO Update, Baseline, CRN, CIO.com, ITAK, and many others. Phara strives to share her knowledge and educate those who may be new to the ITAM and SAM industry in any way she can.
