VMware has empowered administrators to be self-sufficient in administrating VSAN with an array of troubleshooting and monitoring utilities. Furthermore, the utilities have been very intuitive; some of which are UI-based and user friendly.

Some of these utilities were previously kept only for internal consumption and eventually made it to the public domain. On similar lines, for experimental use, there are more such tools available at https://labs.vmware.com/flings; these cut across multiple product lines.

In the next chapter, we will review the newer features and improvements to the existing ones, scalability enhancements, and architectural changes with in the latest generation of VSAN.
