Summary
You are now able to add variables to your logic app to enter pre-staged data. You are also able to create arrays, which allow for powerful and quick calculations and other actions to take place on each element within your array, at the same time. You also now know two different ways to obtain dynamic data from your system – the SQL query actions and the Common Data Service actions. We have used the Common Data Service actions to obtain data and then used this to create new records on your receiving system. We also considered the use of XML instead of JSON messages where it is appropriate to do so.
In the next chapter, we are going to perform data manipulation, which is one of the key main functions of a logic app. We will perform calculations but also look at text manipulation.
