Financial Modeling and Reporting with Microsoft Power BI
By :
This chapter has covered a lot of ground. We started by describing security and the admin portal, and the importance of restricting publishing to the web.
We then moved on to setting up workspaces, publishing reports, and methods of managing the development process with your workspaces. From there, we explained the importance of using Power BI apps as the main delivery mechanism of reports to your users.
We explained data refresh and the difference between on-premises gateways and cloud apps that may not require the gateway.
Along the way, we expanded on security by briefly explaining row-level security as a method to filter your dataset according to user needs and responsibilities.
We ended the chapter on the importance of longer-term maintenance and retirement of reports to ensure your reports are current and old reports are not lingering within your environment.
With this, we have reached the end of this book. By now, you should have a good appreciation...
