With Anime Studio, you're not just limited to importing objects made within the software. You can also import images, videos, audio, vector graphics, Photoshop files, and more. As you know, some of these can be imported by creating a layer (such as the image or audio files).

To import different file types, go to File | Import. All the items listed below Anime Studio Object are options for importing outside files, as shown in the following screenshot. You can even import 3D objects, which can make use of Anime Studio's 3D workspace.

As we discussed earlier in the book, if an external file is altered, this change will be reflected in Anime Studio, which includes file location. Keep this in mind as it can save you from a lot of headaches later on.
