As we learned earlier in this chapter the Text selection on the script element drop-down menu is rarely used. Other than typing FADE IN: at the beginning of a script and adding THE END and FADE OUT, I do not find it useful. Text puts in unformatted words and we almost always want lines in our script tagged with one of the standard script elements—Scene Heading, Action, Character, Dialog, Parenthetical, Shot, or Transition (but not those last two in a spec script).
