Scribus 1.3.5: Beginner's Guide
There are many export options in Scribus and the export option that you choose once are saved within the file so that you don't have to redo everything each time. Here is a fast method that shows the most important fields to control:
Go to File | Export | Save as PDF.
In the Save as PDF window, give a name and verify that the PDF Compatibility is on PDF 1.4 at least.
Then go to Fonts tab and verify if all the fonts listed in the left-hand part of the window are listed in the right-hand part. If not, select it on the left-hand part and click the arrow button activated to pass it or click on the Outline All button.
In the Color tab, you will choose the way the document will be exported. Generally, you will choose Printer.
If needed, go to Pre-Press tab, and check for crop and bleed marks.
You now just have to click on the Save button.
