In the previous section, you created users for the Neighborhood site using Administrator user. However, Liferay does allow guest users to create accounts on their own. It works well with a public facing Internet site or social-networking portal or media site, and so on where a guest user is allowed to register and use more functionality of the site. However, this feature does not work out in all situations, such as with an Internet site for a specific organization, like our Neighborhood site. In those scenarios, we would like only validated users to have an account on the site. So, we should disable the option that allows guest users to create an account and leave user creation to administration.
Let's see how to do that.
