Chapter 3. Basic Configuration

Now that you have set up XOOPS, you will want to change the basic configuration to suit your needs. For example, you may want to change the title of your website (which appears at the top of a web page), your site logo, information that is useful for search engines so that others can find your website more easily, email settings to ensure that you receive any messages sent from your website, and much more. We will go over fine tuning the following settings:

General Settings

Administration of XOOPS is managed using a web browser and logging in as an administrator to your website. To do this, enter the administrator login name and password you specified in Chapter 2 to install your copy of XOOPS.
