As we have experienced throughout this book, the Liferay Portal is very flexible and allows us to configure the website and content on the fly; imagine if we make our CIGNEX Neighborhood portal available to everyone. We will still use these features regularly, maybe to add new content, configure new pages, and so on. In practice, we usually have a staging environment for the website. The staging environment is normally a replica of the production environment. Before adding content or applying content changes, we perform them on staging. If that is successful then only we apply the same changes on the live environment. Liferay provides in-built feature to configure staging environment for any community or organization.
