Managing files


Perhaps, having just had the first sight of the files set up in Moodle 2.0, now is the time to investigate this more thoroughly and in the context of a real course. Moodle 2.0 has dramatically altered the way files are uploaded and managed. We'll begin our exploration over the next few pages and continue it (for admins) in the final chapter.

Instead of a lengthy passage on the theory behind these changes—let's just follow our Manager, Martin; our teacher, Andy; and our student, Emma as they upload resources and learn from what they do:

We don't have to upload via the Add a Resource dropdown; we can also upload via a link in the HTML editor—just as we could before. So, let's start by seeing how Martin adds some information to the front page.
