In this chapter, you learned how to customize the look and feel of JIRA by inserting custom CSS codes. We also modified the behavior of HTML elements of the JIRA interface using JavaScript to show/hide JIRA fields based on the selection done by the user of specific value of a select list. Finally, we explored velocity templates and how to modify the displayed content. We also discussed how to insert custom field values in e-mails.
In the next chapter, we will discuss best practices that need to be employed to use JIRA effectively, especially in Enterprise installation with thousands of users and multiple customizations. These best practices and standardized procedures will help administrators to maintain and support JIRA for a long time.
