The INSERTBLOCK
command (alias I
, on the Insert toolbar, or navigating to Insert | Block) inserts a defined component in the drawing or a drawing file as a component.
This command displays the Insert Block dialog box. The Name list includes all components defined in the drawing that can be inserted. As an alternative, it is possible to insert a complete drawing as a component by pressing the Browse button. A file dialog box is displayed, in order to select a DWG or DXF file.
Position allows the user to specify where to locate the component by defining its X, Y and Z coordinates. Scale allows the user to define the scales in all directions. With Apply uniform scale checked, the component will be inserted with a uniform scale, without distortion. Rotate allows the user to apply a rotation to the component. With Explode Block checked, the component is exploded when inserted.
With Specify later it is possible to define position, scales and/or rotation after pressing OK....
