Carrier selection and tendering

Carrier selection is used to determine the perfect combination of carrier assignment-based costs, priority, equipment availability, and business share selection. This is also covered in the Profiles section of this chapter. The carrier is assigned to the freight order once the planning run is executed. The planning run can be executed manually or automatically. SAP has provided a planning strategy, TSPS_DEF, for the carrier selection profile. You assign this strategy as shown in Figure 10.27:
