Technical requirements

As mentioned in the previous chapter, in order to build your own lab, you will need the Windows Server 2016 operating system – either the Standard edition or the Enterprise edition. In order to build a lab to prepare for the exam, you can use Hyper-V on Windows Server or the Windows client operating systems. You can practice on real hardware as well, but it is more convenient and time-effective to practice in a virtualized environment. Any virtualization environment or hypervisor will do, and you can set up a practice lab in Microsoft Azure as well.
