Configuring the DHCP server options

The DHCP options are other configuration parameters that a DHCP server can assign to DHCP clients. The DHCP options can be configured at different levels, and the most specific options take precedence over the more general options.

Here are the DHCP options:

  • Server options: These options apply globally.
  • Scope options: These options apply to clients that have obtained an IP address lease from a scope.
  • Class options: These options apply to a client with a specific DHCP Class ID value.
  • Reserved client options: These options apply to the clients with reservation leases.
