Well you may want to port your game to more than just Android and Windows Phone platforms. The biggest advantage of developing in C++ is the number of platforms one can reach. As such, Cocos2d-x supports a sleuth of platforms such as the ones listed next. I have provided links to a few tutorials that can help get you started with some of the unfamiliar/newer platforms:
