From the MySQL Server node, we shall create a new database and run a query to create the table along with the necessary column fields.
1. From the Services window, right-click on the MySQL Server node, and select Create Database.... A new dialog box will appear, as shown in the following screenshot:
2. Enter the name
status_poster
as the value for the New Database Name field. Leave the checkbox for Grant Full Access to unselected. You may grant access to a given user, using this checkbox and drop-down list. By default, theadmin
user has all the permissions.3. Click on OK to have the new database listed under the server node, and also to have the new database connection node created under the Databases node, as shown in the following screenshot:
According to this screenshot, there are three subfolders under the status_poster connection node—Tables, Views, and Procedures.
4. Now, to create a new table in our database, right-click on the Tables...
