To check out a revision, perform the following:
1. Right-click on the project node, select Git | Checkout | Checkout Revision, and the Checkout Revision dialog box is displayed.
2. Again, right-click on the Branches | Local | Branch Name at the Repository Browser window from the context menu, as shown in the following screenshot. Select Checkout Revision, and the same dialog box is displayed, along with the latest revision selected from that branch.
3. Optionally, specify the revision required, by entering a commit ID, existing branch, or tag name in the Revision field, or press Select to view the list of revisions maintained in the repository. Note that if the specified revision refers to a valid commit that is not marked with a branch name, then your HEAD becomes detached and you are no longer on any branch.
