Summary

TYPO3 e-Commerce plugins provide a payment facility in your online shop. There are two extensions from the TYPO3 Extension Repository that are more popular and typical—Shop System and Webformat Shop System. There are several twists and turns for every extension. It is useful to read manuals before you choose and set up an e-Commerce extension. The PayPal payment system is the most popular way to pay for goods in TYPO3-based online shops that use e-Commerce extensions.

If extensions are in use for a long time, they become outdated and don't support some functions. So, it is useful to check for extension updates.

In the next chapter we will describe setting up online shop requirements, explaining how to set up a catalogue of products, how to prepare product-descriptive information (images and textual information), and how to organize the structure of the catalogue.
