Summary

What we just finished was the base framework for the E-Business Suite Applications where we discussed an overview of a legal entity and how it constitutes a component for the ledger define process. We also took a peek at the Accounting Setup Manager and highlighted some of the new aspects of the configuration as it differs from previous releases. We also covered some transactional aspects that are essential in understanding the usage of the General Ledger.

In the next chapter, we will discuss the new Subledger Accounting (SLA) engine with emphasis on components, how to use it, and accounting reports.
