Controlling level and frequency with dynamics plugins and an equalizer

Dynamic processors refer to a type of audio processing tool used to modify the level of an audio signal over time. They control the dynamics of a sound source and achieve a more consistent and polished sound. Now, let’s take a look at the dynamics processors that come bundled with Studio One.

Compressor

A compressor is a dynamics processor that reduces the dynamic range of an audio signal by attenuating the level of loud sounds. It’s commonly used to create a more consistent level for a Vocal or Instrument Track, and can also be used to add sustain to guitar and bass sounds.

Studio One’s Compressor looks and operates just like hardware compressors found in professional music studios.
