Understanding the Song, Project, and Show Pages

Studio One has three separate environments called pages, designed for three different but related tasks. They provide specialized workflows for creating and presenting your music projects. It is important to understand what these pages are and what they do, which is what we will do in this chapter. These three pages are:

  • The Song page: This is where you will do your actual music production, including recording and editing your Audio Tracks, programming and tweaking your virtual instruments, arranging sections of your song, and mixing your music.
  • The Project page: Use this page for mastering the song(s) you created on the Song page.
  • The Show page: This page allows you to use the Songs in a live setting. You can combine your Songs in setlists, use them for playback on stage, and add real and virtual instruments.

These pages are fully integrated and dynamically linked, so the changes you make on one page will be reflected...
