Build loads and plan shipments

As part of the transportation process, companies should consolidate shipments to build loads and deliver them to their customers. Consolidating shipments will help companies lower costs as they reduce the number of shipments. As we reviewed earlier, planning the loads is the first step of the transportation process.

As an important concept, a load is a group of goods transported together. It may be from different orders or shipments, so companies must optimize their loads into the right containers to save time and money.

We can assign load templates to new loads to give that load information about equipment and measures such as height, width, depth, and volume.
