The MDIS has capabilities to handle import file structure and data values inconsistencies which are part and parcel of real time import scenarios.
It handles the conflicting import files intelligently by isolating them into exception folders and continues with the import of other source files. This prevents unanticipated halt of the import process and allows for manual rectification of the conflicting files at a later time using the Import Manager.
The MDIS behaves differently depending upon the type of the exception that it encounters.

This kind of exception occurs when there is a structural discrepancy between the source file and the target MDM repository. The MDIS stops processing the conflicting source file and moves it from the Ready
