In real time scenarios, there may be situations where you come across unexpected MDSS behavior. In order to help you troubleshoot these scenarios we will discuss some easy remedies for problems encountered while working with the MDSS. For every problem discussed, we list a check-list of tasks which would help you in restoring the MDSS activities back to normal.
When you do not see master data being automatically syndicated to the outbound port(s) of a repository, you can troubleshoot the problem with these tasks pertaining to each of the following:
Using the SAP Management Console (SAP MMC):
Check if the MDM server is in started state
Check if MDSS is in started state
Using the SAP MDM Console:
Check if the source MDM repository is loaded.
Both the MDM server and the MDSS must be running with the source repository loaded for syndications to be executed.
