Updating an MDM repository


When an MDM server is upgraded, all its repositories are required to have their underlying schema updated corresponding to the new software version. An outdated repository is shown with a gray square icon in the Console as shown next:

Outdated repositories are rendered futile unless they are updated using the Update Repository command. After performing an update, MDM generates a report which can be viewed once the process is complete. (Refer to Chapter 6, Server Administration for more details on Reports and how to view them.)

SAP recommends duplicating or archiving an outdated repository before an update operation is performed. (Duplicate and Archive commands are explained in the consequent chapters)

Follow the steps to update an outdated repository:
