MDIS's Ports


Ports can be configured using the MDM system table Ports available under the Admin tree node of the MDM Console Hierarchy:

The table consists of a fixed set of fields and records, where each record corresponds to a port either of type inbound or outbound. Every field corresponding to a record in the Ports table defines a port property. The port properties can be changed in the Port Detail tab which can be seen in the bottom right pane of the MDM Console:

Inbound ports allow the MDIS to import source file data automatically into the MDM repository. The source files have to be placed into the inbound port's Ready folder for the automatic import to take place. The inbound port must have the following property values set in the ports table for the MDIS to automatically process the source files placed in it:
