Using MDSS


MDSS provides automation for syndication of master data from MDM repositories to other remote systems.

Both the MDM server and the MDSS work in tandem to achieve the automatic syndication. For this purpose the MDSS need not necessarily be running on the same machine as the MDM server and can be installed on another machine in the network. In this scenario you would need to configure the mdss.ini file and provide the location of the MDM server explicitly. We will be covering these configuration operations in the next section.

Note

The mdss.ini file resides in the following path: <Installation Drive:>\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\<MDSS instance_name>\config

In this section we list the prerequisites before using the MDSS for automatic syndication.
