Syndication tips


Here we discuss some tips for handling certain situations efficiently and preventing erroneous syndications.

Tip 1: Syndicating large files

A large size of a syndicated file may be attributed to any of the following factors:

  • The number of output records generated through the syndication map is large

  • A large number of fields mapped in the syndication map

  • A large number of split fields mapped in the syndication map

  • The number of field values mapped in the syndication map

The size of the syndicated file also increases depending upon the remote key values or the qualified links corresponding to a repository record. This makes the actual number of output records in the file much larger than the number of repository records included in the syndication map.

These factors may cause the size of the syndicated file to become too big for MDSS to handle (for example, sending the file over a network). This might cause unnecessary delays while syndicating data for the first time from the MDM...
